Abstract

This article analyzes the mechanisms of formation of partial amphiploid forms obtained as a result of interspecific hybridization between common wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) and wild relatives of the genus Thinopyrum (Agropyron). The cytogenetic characteristics, genome structure, and introgression of genes for resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses of the species Th. ponticum, Th. intermedium Th. Elongatum, and Th. Junceiforme are considered. Based on the analysis of the literature, the importance of partial amphiploids as an intermediate selection link in the creation of resistant wheat varieties is substantiated.
