DETERMINING OPTIMAL TIMES FOR SOWING SPRING WHEAT IN MEDIUM SALINITY SOILS
Main Article Content
Abstract
The article studies the effect of sowing dates on the growth, development and yield of soft spring wheat varieties “Semurg’”, “Janub gavhari” and “Saratovskaya-29” in the conditions of moderately saline meadow soils of the South Aral Sea region (Karakalpakstan). The results of the study show that with a delay in sowing dates, field fertility decreases by 7-8%, and yield by 15% to 35%. The most optimal sowing date for the region was determined to be the first half of March. The highest yield index was recorded for the variety “Saratovskaya-29” (41.6 t/ha).
