Abstract

The role and importance of modern geoinformation technologies in monitoring the reclamation of land areas are analyzed. The possibilities of assessing the salinity level of irrigated lands, groundwater levels, soil moisture, and the condition of drainage systems using GIS technologies are highlighted. The study considers mechanisms for rapid and accurate monitoring of reclamation processes using remote sensing data, digital maps, and spatial analysis methods. It also analyzes the issues of identifying land degradation processes and increasing the efficiency of planning reclamation activities based on remote sensing data and geodatabases. It is substantiated that GIS technologies can be used to conduct dynamic monitoring over time, identify problem areas, and optimize the process of making management decisions. As a result, it is concluded that GIS is an effective tool for rational use of land resources, improving their reclamation status, and developing sustainable agriculture.
