Abstract

This article analyzes the biological characteristics, agrotechnical requirements, irrigation and fertilization system, as well as diseases and pests of sesame (Sesamum indicum L.). Sesame is an important oilseed crop characterized by high oil content, nutritional value, and drought resistance. The study highlights the heat-loving nature of sesame, its adaptability to soil and climatic conditions, and the agrotechnical characteristics of its cultivation in the conditions of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The crop's water requirements, planting standards, and the impact of the fertilization system on yield are also considered.
