TECHNOLOGY OF CHERRY TOMATOES GROWING IN THE OPEN FIELD
Main Article Content
Abstract
In this study, the phenological development stages of the “Cherry” tomato variety Fazilat, grown in open field conditions, were studied when various agrotechnical methods (shade net, trellis, and trellis methods) were used. According to the results of the study, it was found that the applied agrotechnical measures have a certain effect on the growth and development periods of tomato plants. In particular, in the variants using trellis and shade net, the vegetation period was relatively shortened and the fruits ripened faster. It was noted that the flowering and fruit ripening phases of plants occurred slightly earlier in other methods compared to the control variant. The results obtained show that it is possible to control plant development and increase productivity by choosing effective agrotechnical methods in tomato cultivation.
