Abstract
The development of a technology for growing rice in the extreme, water-deficient soil and climatic conditions of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, which reduces water consumption by 25-30 percent and ensures stable yields, has led to the development of this planting technology. Since rice seeds are planted in the spring in the natural soil moisture, it was found that the soil moisture and temperature are sufficient for seed germination in the third decade of April.
