RESULTS OF EARLY RIPENING, YIELD AND BIOMASS OF FORAGE CROPS WITH HIGH NUTRITION UNITS

Abstract
In this study, the ripening periods of 30 corn (Zea mays L.) varieties grown in the experimental field of the Southern Research Institute of Agriculture were studied. The goal was to identify early-ripening varieties with a short growing season, resistant to heat and drought under climate change. According to the results obtained, the “Yulduz” variety stood out as the earliest-ripening variety with a growing season of 77 days. Also, the “KB-113”, “D-46”, “MSUITS-7”, “AKMI-1”, “Sakharniy-5” and “D-17” varieties fully ripened in 78 days. These varieties are promising for cultivation as a second crop in conditions with limited water resources.
