Abstract
This article analyzes international practices and best practices in teaching environmental sciences in higher education institutions. The growing demand for environmental education around the world and the importance of improving environmental literacy within the framework of sustainable development goals are emphasized. The article examines the experience of countries such as the USA, Germany, Japan, and Finland, their curricula, innovative pedagogical approaches, and teaching methods based on interdisciplinary integration. It also provides recommendations on the possibilities of introducing these experiences in teaching environmental sciences in Uzbekistan and adapting them to the national education system.
