Main Article Content
Abstract
This article discusses the medicinal properties of the plant Elaeagnus angustifolia L. (Elaeagnus angustifolia L.). Elaeagnus has long been used in folk medicine to treat various diseases. Its fruits, leaves, and bark contain biologically active substances - flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins, organic acids, vitamins (C, E, group B), as well as microelements (potassium, iron, zinc). The interaction of these substances has an anti-inflammatory, analgesic, sedative, and immune-boosting effect on the body. The thesis analyzes the pharmacological significance of the plant Elaeagnus, its use in folk medicine, and the prospects for its use in modern medicine based on scientific sources.
