THE EFFECT OF APPLYING COMPLEX PREPARATIONS TO MELON SEEDS AND PLANTS ON YIELD
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study examined the effect of the combined application of nanosilicon to the seeds and of MnO₂ and Fe₂O₃ preparations to the plants of the “Kichkintoy” melon variety on phenological development, biometric indicators and yield. According to the results of the study, in the variants where the preparations were applied, seed germination was accelerated, and earlier opening of the pistillate flowers and earlier ripening of the fruits were observed. It was also established that the length of the main stem, the number of lateral shoots, the number of leaves and the average fruit weight increased. The highest result was recorded in the Nanosilicon + Fe₂O₃ variant, where the average yield amounted to 21.1 t/ha.
