Abstract

This article analyses the technological properties of cocoons produced under the conditions of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, their quality indicators, and the factors influencing silk productivity. The influence of the climatic conditions of the region, the quality of the mulberry leaf, the silkworm hybrids and the rearing technology on cocoon quality was studied. According to the results of the research, it was established that high-quality cocoons can be produced through the proper organisation of agrotechnical measures.
