Abstract

The article presents the results of monitoring carried out on the ecosystem of Lake Qutan in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. According to the results of the monitoring, it can be seen that the vegetation cover there is sparse but that recovery is taking place, and that, as water resources decline, the lake is gradually undergoing degradation.
