TAMARIX AS A METHOD FOR THE RECLAMATION OF SALINE LANDS
Main Article Content
Abstract
This dissertation analyses the global problem of soil salinization and its impact on agriculture. The study provides a scientific substantiation of the potential of tamarisk (Tamarix) in the reclamation of saline lands, of its salt-tolerance mechanisms and of its role in improving soil. The work evaluates the effectiveness of species such as Tamarix parviflora, while also discussing the invasive properties and ecological risks of tamarisk. The study indicates the opportunities and limitations of applying tamarisk under the conditions of Uzbekistan and offers recommendations for sustainable reclamation practices.
