Abstract

This thesis describes the distribution, origin and classification of microplastics in aquatic ecosystems and their impact on hydrobionts. Microplastics pose an ecological hazard in that they persist in the aquatic environment for a long time, are ingested by organisms and can pass through the trophic chain to higher organisms, including the human body. It is also substantiated that studying the distribution and impact of microplastics in freshwater ecosystems, including the area of Sharxonsoy, constitutes a pressing scientific problem.
