AGRICULTURE AND PROSPECTS FOR THE SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF UZBEKISTAN

Abstract

Uzbekistan is at present one of the countries characterized by a high level of poverty; it has a low ranking in terms of GDP per capita, the country has a fairly low average wage level and a high rate of migration of its citizens. At the same time, the country is quite rich in resources and possesses high human potential, and the agrarian sector predominates in its economy. It is precisely for this reason that the question of agriculture and of the prospects for the socio-economic development of Uzbekistan is sufficiently topical. Accordingly, the aim of this work is to study and summarize aspects of agriculture and to determine the prospects for the socio-economic development of Uzbekistan.
