Abstract

The article examines the issues of forming an ecological culture of the population in the context of the contemporary environmental problems of the Aral Sea region. Particular attention is paid to the role of cultural and educational activity in raising ecological literacy, developing a responsible attitude towards natural resources and forming environmentally oriented behaviour. It is shown that environmental education is an important instrument for solving ecological problems and ensuring the sustainable development of the region.
