ANALYSIS OF SESAME SEED GERMINATION UNDER LABORATORY CONDITIONS

Abstract

This article studies the morphobiological and economically valuable traits of the Qora Shahzoda sesame variety and the agrotechnology of its cultivation under the conditions of Central Asia. The vegetation period, plant height, the structure of the leaves and capsules, the morphological indicators of the seed and the oil content of the variety were analysed. The studies comparatively assessed the growth characteristics on irrigated and rain-fed areas. The quality of the seed material, sowing dates, seeding rates and the effect of the irrigation system on yield are also covered. The importance of thinning, weed control and the formation of an optimal plant stand density in crop care is substantiated. The data obtained show that the application of effective agrotechnical measures is essential for obtaining a high and high-quality yield from the Qora Shahzoda variety.
