STRATEGIES FOR TEACHING CRITICAL THINKING

Abstract
This article examines the effectiveness of gamification in learning English. In recent years the use of gamification has been increasing in order to raise learners' engagement and motivation and to strengthen the process of language acquisition. In the course of the study, the impact of game elements on learners' participation, the development of their skills and the long-term retention of knowledge is analysed. The article shows that gamification not only improves learners' language skills but also helps to form their positive attitude towards learning. At the same time, the difficulties that arise in the process of integrating game mechanics into traditional lesson procedures are also discussed.
