MODERN METHODS OF TEACHING ENGLISH IN THE HIGHER EDUCATION SYSTEM OF UZBEKISTAN

Abstract
This article examines modern methods of teaching English in the higher education system of Uzbekistan. Particular attention is paid to the communicative approach, the use of interactive technologies, the methodology of content and language integrated learning (CLIL), authentic materials and project-based research activities. Ways of increasing the effectiveness of instruction and of preparing students for professional communication in English are considered. The importance of innovative methods and digital tools in shaping competitive specialists is emphasized.
