PAREMIOLOGICAL FEATURES OF TERMS RELATED TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article analyses the paremiological features of terms relating to the construction of buildings and structures from a linguistic and cultural point of view. It studies how proverbs and expressions connected with construction terms are expressed in different languages, as well as their semantic and pragmatic features. The results of the study show that the paremiological units of the construction field reflect the worldview, the labour culture and the historical traditions of the people. The questions of equivalence and adaptation in the translation of proverbs and sayings are also considered.
