RUSSIAN SCIENTIFIC TERMS USED IN SCIENTIFIC FIELDS AND THEIR LINGUISTIC FEATURES

Abstract
This article examines the features of Russian scientific terms used in various scientific fields. Attention is drawn to the origin of these terms, their structure and their linguistic features. Particular attention is paid to the processes of borrowing, calquing and koineisation in the formation of scientific vocabulary. Such characteristics of scientific terms as precision, formality, interdisciplinarity and systematicity are described. The problems connected with the use of scientific terms, including the influence of the English language on Russian scientific terminology, are also analysed. The work emphasises the importance of standards and uniformity in scientific vocabulary for ensuring effective communication in the scientific environment.
