Abstract

This article analyses the formation, development and current state of Uzbek terminology. It studies the role of historical sources and dictionaries, the semantic features of terms and their functional possibilities in different periods. It also examines the process of term creation, the problems of translation and the development trends of the terminological system on the basis of modern linguistic principles.
