TODAY'S PROBLEMS OF LINGUISTICS

Abstract

In modern linguistics a number of topical problems can be observed that are connected with the influence of digital technologies, globalisation and the change of speech norms. This article examines key challenges, including the simplification of language in digital communication, the disappearance of minor languages, the difficulties of multilingualism, the influence of technology on language learning, as well as the ethical questions that arise in linguistic research. Particular attention is paid to the need to preserve linguistic diversity and to adapt linguistics to new realities.
