Abstract

This article analyzes the formation and development of computer terminology and its influence on national languages. The language of computing constitutes a distinctive terminological layer whose terms have in most cases been borrowed from English. The article studies the terminological system, the term field and the lexical-semantic features of terms. The results of the research may be applied in the process of forming computer terminology and popularizing national terms.
