Abstract

This article analyzes the linguocognitive features of deictic means in scientific texts related to agriculture. The study of the phenomenon of deixis within cognitive linguistics and its connection with metaphor, the theory of mental spaces and cognitive grammar is examined. The place of deictic units is analyzed on the basis of the principles of theoretical grounding at the nominal and sentence levels. The article also shows the importance of deictic elements in conveying the author's idea clearly and convincingly in scientific texts.
