Abstract

The article analyzes the biological characteristics, life cycle, and intermediate hosts of Thysaniezia giardi, a cestode responsible for thysanieziosis in cattle. Ecological and epizootiological factors affecting the distribution of intermediate hosts are discussed. The importance of soil moisture, temperature, pasture conditions, and seasonal changes is highlighted. The distribution patterns of the parasite are summarized based on scientific literature. The findings are important for improving preventive measures against thysanieziosis.
