Abstract

This article is devoted to determining salt toxicity and the strictly controlled degree of salt tolerance in solving specific and general problems of plant salt tolerance. With the aim of increasing tomato yields, laboratory data are presented on the salt tolerance of the Volgogradsky 5/95, TMK 22, UzMASH-1, Novichok, and Rio Grande varieties, as well as the Sultan F1, Tristar F1, and Solerosso F1 hybrids. This tolerance was evaluated based on seed germination energy and germination rate in salt solutions of various concentrations (NaCl, Na2SO4).
