Abstract

The article analyzes the historical, legal and professional aspects of women’s participation in the civil aviation and transport system of Uzbekistan in 1991–2025. Based on legal and regulatory instruments aimed at ensuring gender equality, airline personnel training practices and data from ICAO, IATA and the ILO, it identifies occupational disparities in the sector’s workforce: although women are being actively recruited as flight attendants, their share among pilots remains very low. The article substantiates the need to develop open gender-disaggregated statistics for the sector.
