Abstract

This article analyzes the organizational and economic aspects of rice production and marketing in the regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The study examines the role of rice production in agriculture, regional changes in production volumes, production costs, the efficiency of water resource utilization, and problems related to the marketing of agricultural products. The research is based on official statistical data from the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In 2024, rice production in all categories of farms in Uzbekistan amounted to 383.6 thousand tons, with significant shares produced in Khorezm, Fergana and Syrdarya regions. The article develops recommendations for increasing the efficiency of rice production, introducing modern agricultural technologies, rationalizing water use, and improving the processing and marketing system of rice products.
