Assessing the economic efficiency of implementing digital technologies in healthcare institutions: international experience and the context of Karakalpakstan
Main Article Content
Abstract
The article analyzes international and domestic literature on the economic efficiency of implementing digital technologies in healthcare institutions, the regulatory and legal framework of Uzbekistan and the regional characteristics of Karakalpakstan, and systematizes economic evaluation methods (CBA, CEA, CUA, CMA, ROI, BIA). According to the literature, electronic medical records in primary care yield a net benefit of approximately 86.4 thousand US dollars per physician over five years, while in 57.1% of 35 economic evaluation studies digital interventions were both more effective and less costly. Unresolved problems were identified, and a system of evaluation indicators was proposed for polyclinics in the city of Nukus and Turtkul District.
