Socio-philosophical foundations of the digital information environment in the era of artificial intelligence

Abstract
This article examines the socio-philosophical foundations of the digital information environment in the era of rapidly developing artificial intelligence technologies and analyzes its influence on human cognition, social relations, value systems, and knowledge processes. It is argued that digital transformation is fundamentally changing the mechanisms through which information is produced, distributed, selected, and consumed. Particular attention is given to the impact of algorithmic recommendation systems, generative artificial intelligence, digital platforms, and social networks on epistemic autonomy and freedom of choice. The digital information environment is interpreted not merely as a technological space but as a complex sociocultural system that participates in shaping knowledge, values, identity, and social behavior. Drawing upon the research of Uzbek scholars in the fields of artificial intelligence, the information society, and digital transformation, the article explores the emerging philosophical meaning of human–technology relations. Alongside the positive potential of artificial intelligence for social development, the study considers algorithmic manipulation, information dependence, the weakening of cognitive autonomy, disinformation, and the problem of ethical responsibility.
