Abstract

The morphological, physiological and biochemical characteristics of Rubia tinctorum L. populations collected from the Tashkent (TSB), Chirchiq (CHR), Fergana (FER), Samarkand (SAM), Andijan (AND) and Surkhandarya (SUR) areas of Uzbekistan were comprehensively evaluated. The morphometric parameters of the plants, the contents of photosynthetic pigments (chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, total chlorophyll and carotenoids), free proline and malondialdehyde (MDA), and the activity of antioxidant enzymes (SOD, CAT and POD) were comparatively analyzed.
