Abstract

Based on one year of field and laboratory observations, the study summarizes data on the species composition of members of the family Agromyzidae (Diptera), their trophic relationships with host plants and certain features of their development. The research was carried out in natural and anthropogenically transformed biotopes. Larvae and pupae collected from damaged plant parts were reared under laboratory conditions to the adult (imago) stage, and the species were identified by morphological characters. As a result, 11 species belonging to 5 genera of the family Agromyzidae were recorded. The association of the species with various host plants, their formation of mines and certain features of their development were determined.
