Abstract

This article presents information on the biological characteristics, morphological features, distribution, and medicinal importance of species belonging to the genus Rumex L. The study describes the specific characteristics of the root system, stem, leaves, flowers, and seeds of Rumex species, as well as their vegetation period and adaptation to different environmental conditions. The medicinal significance of biologically active compounds, vitamins, organic acids, and mineral elements contained in Rumex species is also analyzed. Information is provided on their use in traditional medicine and healthcare, the plant parts used as medicinal raw materials, and their therapeutic importance. The article also highlights the distribution of Rumex species under the conditions of Karakalpakstan and the scientific and practical significance of their rational use as medicinal plants.
