Abstract
This paper analyzes the theoretical foundations of developing the tourism economy, the economic importance of the tourism sector in Uzbekistan, existing problems and innovative ways of solving them. It covers the impact of tourism on gross domestic product, employment, export earnings and regional development, as well as the role of tourism clusters and digital technologies. Based on the findings, practical recommendations have been developed for improving the competitiveness of tourism services.
