Abstract

In this thesis, the river chronotope in K. Allambergenov's novel The Years the River Drained is artistically analyzed as an open space. In the work, the shallowing (drying up) of the river is scientifically grounded not only as an environmental crisis, but also as a metaphorical interpretation of the spiritual crisis in society.
