Abstract

The article analyzes modern algebraic structures that form the mathematical foundation of digital technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) systems, as well as the algorithms associated with them. The study systematically examines the role of structures such as groups, rings, finite fields, vector spaces, matrices and Boolean algebra in computational processes. In particular, it is substantiated that operations over finite fields are important in cryptography and error-correcting codes, while matrices and vector spaces are important for representing and transforming data in machine learning models. The advantage of algebraic algorithms lies in the fact that, relying on precise formal rules, they make it possible to perform reproducible and automatable computations on large volumes of data. The paper proposes a systemic model showing the relationship between algebraic structure, algorithm and applied task, and summarizes the directions in which mathematical abstractions are used in the development of digital technologies and AI systems.
