Abstract

The article examines the criteria by which a journalist’s professional mastery can be assessed in the context of platformization, the use of artificial intelligence tools and declining audience trust. Based on comparative analysis and content classification, a five-criterion integrative model of journalistic mastery is proposed, comprising the value-normative, verification, creative-genre, technological and communicative-responsibility criteria. Observable indicators are defined for each criterion. The model can be applied in designing journalist training programs and in evaluating the performance of newsroom staff.
