Abstract

The article examines the somatic codes reflected in the omens and taboos of the Karakalpak people. It presents the national-cultural content of units related to parts of the human body, as well as the worldview, beliefs and customs of the people embodied in them. The study explores the particular ways in which omens and taboos convey cultural meanings through somatic components.
