Dependence of golden currant cutting survival on planting time under the conditions of the Aral Sea region
Main Article Content
Abstract
Cuttings from five varieties of golden currant (Ribes aureum) were evaluated under the conditions of Karakalpakstan for both autumn and early spring planting. Survival rates were 66–86% for autumn planting and 43–63% for spring planting. The weighted average survival rates across varieties were 75.6% and 53.0%, respectively. Autumn planting yielded superior results for all varieties. These results are based on descriptive observations from a single season and provide a basis for further replicated experiments to evaluate the varieties and planting times.
