Abstract
The article examines the main ways to improve the hydroecological state of the lower reaches of the Amu Darya. The countries of the Amu Darya basin should support interstate cooperation and, on this basis, organize more effective joint work to coordinate their actions in managing the water resources of the Amu Darya basin.
