Abstract

The article addresses the study of the ecological condition of the Samanbay tugai ecosystem in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the assessment of its biological and ecological significance. Tugai ecosystems have a distinctive flora and fauna and are of great importance for conserving water resources, preventing soil erosion, regulating the microclimate and preserving biological diversity. The natural and anthropogenic factors affecting the current ecological condition of the Samanbay tugai are analyzed. Recommendations for the protection, restoration and sustainable use of the ecosystem are also provided.
