O‘zbekiston olima ayollarining yurtim taraqqiyotiga qo‘shayotgan hissasi

Abstract

The article analyzes the role of women scientists of Uzbekistan in science, higher education and innovative development on the basis of official statistics, government portals and the scientific literature. The aim of the study is to assess the contribution of women scientists to the development of the country in terms of participation, academic degrees, leadership, international recognition and the support system. Open data from the National Statistics Committee, the Academy of Sciences and government portals, as well as articles in domestic scientific journals, were examined using statistical, comparative and content analysis methods. The results showed that in 2025 the share of women reached 40.4% among specialist researchers and 48.2% in postgraduate education. However, this share declines as academic degree and position rise: 22.2% among doctors of science, 7.7% among academicians and 28% among heads of active research projects. The article concludes with recommendations on strengthening research leadership, increasing participation in international publications and introducing unified statistical monitoring.
