Study and assessment of soil texture and nutrient supply for substantiating drip irrigation and fertigation of strawberry in Nukus city
Main Article Content
Abstract
The article assesses the texture of the soil on an experimental plot selected for studying the drip irrigation regime of strawberry in Nukus city, as well as the supply of the soil with the main nutrients.
The soils are light-textured: the fraction of 0.1–0.05 mm particles accounts for 56.60 %, and physical clay for 17.73 %. According to the laboratory report, the soils of the experimental plot are sandy loams. Available phosphorus is very low (13.8 mg/kg), exchangeable potassium is medium (214.4 mg/kg), nitrogen is low (27.7 mg/kg), and humus content is low (1.09 %). Based on the results, the following practices are recommended for light soils: frequent irrigation with small application rates, reduced emitter spacing, the use of organic fertilizers and mulch, application of phosphorus as a basal fertilizer with split application of nitrogen and potassium through fertigation, and differentiated plant nutrition within the plot.
