Abstract

This scientific paper deeply analyzes the issues of rational use of water resources in the irrigation of crops under conditions of global climate change and intensifying drought in the Aral Sea region, the introduction of resource-saving innovative technologies, and increasing the efficiency coefficient of irrigation networks. During the research, it was revealed that a significant amount of water is wasted due to filtration and evaporation in the existing open soil-bed channels of the region, and ways to reduce it were indicated. The possibilities of significantly reducing water consumption, stabilizing crop yields, and improving the meliorative state of the soil through the application of modern water-saving technologies, such as drip and sprinkler irrigation in the cultivation of cotton, grain, and other crops, have been scientifically substantiated. Based on the obtained results, practical proposals were developed for the gradual introduction of digital technologies and IoT sensors into water resource management processes.
