Determining the representativeness of a field experiment on sprinkler irrigation of winter wheat
Main Article Content
Abstract
The article examines the representativeness of field experiments on winter wheat under sprinkler and furrow irrigation. The selection of experimental plots considers soil agrophysical and agrochemical properties, water permeability, bulk density, texture, porosity, humus content, plant stand density, and mineral fertilizer supply. The comparability of the plots is assessed using the method attributed to V. V. Shabanov, probability theory, and statistical approaches. For meadow-alluvial soils in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, where the groundwater table is approximately 2.5 m, the article reports a field-plot conformity coefficient of R = 0.623. The findings help justify whether the selected experimental plot represents the conditions of the region’s long-irrigated lands.
