Abstract

In the arid and pedoclimatically challenging conditions of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the comprehensive implementation of intensive resource-saving technologies serves as a key factor in ensuring stable winter cereal production and increasing crop yields. This encompasses the rational use of irrigation water, optimization of mineral and organic fertilizer regimes, and reliable crop protection against harmful organisms. Among phytosanitary factors, weed infestation exerts the most significant negative impact on winter wheat productivity.

In this context, conducting systematic scientific research aimed at elucidating the species composition, bioecological characteristics, and regional distribution of weeds in winter wheat agrocoenoses is of particular relevance. This study evaluates the biological and economic efficacy of various application rates of modern herbicides on the medium-saline meadow-alluvial soils of the region. The scientific novelty and practical significance of the results lie in the development of evidence-based recommendations regarding herbicide application regulations, which contribute to reducing the phytotoxic load on the agrophytocenosis, preserving soil fertility, and successfully implementing effective protective measures into the agricultural production of the Republic.
