Abstract

The article assesses the relationship between water and climatic factors and the dynamics of agricultural production in Kanlikul district. The study used data for 2010–2025 on water mineralization, mean annual air temperature, precipitation and growth rates of agricultural production. The initial data were processed using methods of long-term dynamic, comparative, statistical and correlation-regression analysis.

The results showed interannual variability in water mineralization, air temperature and precipitation. The pairwise relationship between water mineralization and the growth rate of agricultural production was weak (r = 0.29; R² = 0.09; p = 0.269). A three-factor regression model including water mineralization, mean annual temperature and precipitation explained about 10% of the variability in the production growth rate (R² = 0.10; p = 0.724). This indicates the need to take into account, along with water and climatic conditions, the cropping pattern, irrigation regime, reclamation measures and agrotechnical factors.

Based on the analysis, directions are proposed for the application of water-saving irrigation, regular monitoring of water quality, selection of salt-tolerant crops, digital monitoring and climate-adaptive agricultural technologies, taking into account the natural and production conditions of the area.
