Abstract

The paper assesses how farm economic performance relates to green growth practices under climate change. Using survey data from 150 farms in the Kashkadarya region of Uzbekistan, a farm green growth index and a climate risk index were constructed. Regression results show that a 0.1 increase in the green growth index is associated with an average 8.8% rise in net income per hectare, and a positive interaction term indicates that green practices mitigate climate risk. Measures to promote green practices and climate risk insurance are proposed.
