Comparative study of economic traits of mung bean varieties
Main Article Content
Abstract
An experiment was conducted using a single-factor randomized experimental design to compare the agronomic and economic traits of mung bean (Vigna radiata L.) varieties and samples under the conditions of Karakalpakstan. The study was carried out on the experimental fields of the Karakalpakstan Institute of Agriculture and Agrotechnologies, where four cultivars (Durdona, Zilola, Osiyo, Baraka) were evaluated. The number of seeds per pod, 1000-seed weight, plant productivity, overall yield, and vegetation period were measured. Based on ANOVA analysis, the Zilola variety was identified as having the highest yield (17.04 c/ha) and 1000-seed weight (67.56 g), while the Baraka variety showed the longest vegetation period (89.2 days). The results serve as a valuable foundation for practical breeding and genetic research.
